He was predeceased by: his sister-in-law Lauren Sargent (Derek); and his sibling's children, Brooke Bennett, Natalie Bennett, Luke Bennett, Aubrey Sargent, Brody Sargent, Chloe Sargent, James O'Grady, Quinn O'Grady and Connor O'Grady.

He is survived by: his wife Kelly; his children, Gavin, Kate and Devon; his parents, Roger Bennett and MaryBeth Bennett; his in-laws, Patrick and Carol O'Grady; his brother Roger "Tony" Bennett (Jessica); and his brother-in-law Patrick O'Grady (late Danielle). He is also survived by many extended family members—including aunts, uncles, and cousins—as well as countless friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 7:15 PM at the Wasik Funeral Home - Gendernalik Chapel (35259 23 Mile Rd, New Baltimore, MI 48047). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (5322 Palms Rd, Casco, MI 48064-3906).
