He was predeceased by: his wife Michele (Charbeneau); his son Matthew Slate (Maureen); and his brothers, Duane Slate (Susan) and Michael Demaria. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Riebel and Adam Slate (Crystal); his grandchildren, Rachel Heaphy of Todd, Austin Slate and Logan Slate; his great grandchildren, Lucas, Ray, Victor and Lillian; and his siblings, Antonina Hannosh (Adel), Anthony Demaria (Lori), Dominic Demaria (Sandra) and Joseph Demaria (Kimberly). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
