In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Sophia leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Sophia may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Catherine Ouzas and Chris Ouzas; and her sisters, Domna (John) and Elefteria (Alex). She is survived by: her husband Angelo; and her siblings, Mary (Tom) and John (Jane). She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. George Greek Orthodox Church (16300 Dix Toledo Rd, Southgate, MI 48195). The lying in state will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Sophia may be made to the Philoptochos of St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 16300 Dix-Toledo Road, Southgate, MI 48195.
