He was predeceased by: his parents, Paris Smith and Ibba Jean Smith; his grandchild Pearce of Alyssa, CJ; his sisters, Joanne Smith and Rhonda Golda; and his grandson CJ Raymond.
He is survived by: his wife Florence Raymond; his children, Aaron Smith (Jennifer), Chris Raymond (Melissa), Jessica Zaharoff (Fred) and Edwin Raymond (Ashley); his grandchildren, Preston, Paige, Kiley, Dominic, Mekayla, May, Juliana, Shawn, Raymond Jr., Carter and Jaxon; his great grandchildren, Julian, Elaina, Elijah, Izaiah and Navaela; and his siblings, Judy Guettler (Ramona Smith) and John McVay (Terri). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Jowett Funeral Home (57737 Gratiot Ave, New Haven, MI 48048). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Piso Freewill Baptist Church (1875 Right Fork of Brushy Rd, Varney, KY 41571).
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
