With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James C. Doig Jr. of New Hudson, Michigan, born in River Rouge, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 8, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James, Sr. Doig and Alice Doig; his brother Rodney (Janet); and his sister-in-law Paula. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Mary Doig; his siblings, Gary, Mitchell and Angretta Opiteck (Steve); and his siblings' children, Ryan (Charlene), Leah (Jaime), Kylie, Brian (Chelsea), Alexander and Anna (Mike).

In lieu of flowers, Memorials. Donations can be made to the River Rouge Athletic Department in honor of James Doig, Jr.
