He was predeceased by: his stepson Andy; his brother Richard Hanson (Maureen); his grandchildren, Kayla, Joey (Matt), Katie, Frankie, Robbie, Faith, Grace, Maggie, Larissa and TJ; his parents, Carl A. Hanson and Ellen Hanson; his son Thomas Hanson Jr.; and his pet Star.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Hanson; his children, Robert R. Hanson (Jennifer), Elizabeth Jankowski (Joe), Rebecca Carpenter (Mike) and Amanda Renner (William); the mother of his children Judy; his stepdaughters, Jill and Jayne; his nephews, Rich, Jim, Marryellen and Kyle; Janis Kumpelis (Paul), Gregory Sr. Bruff (Eileen), Sherry Kopschitz (Dick), Cynthia Binder (Rudy), Sandra Snyder (Al), Mary Green (Jerry), Charles Bruff (Karen) and Jeffrey Bruff (Mary).
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Michael Catholic Church of Maple Grove (17994 Lincoln Rd, New Lothrop, MI 48460). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
