Betty leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Betty’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilber VanMeter and Carrie VanMeter (Benney); her husband Roger Emert; her sister Ruth Berndt; and her granddaughter Stephanie Emert.
She is survived by: her children, Rick Emert, Pamela Koran (Darrell) and Randy Emert (Kelly North); her granddaughter Taylor; and her great grandchild Samual V. She is also survived by many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Fields-McKinley Funeral and Cremation Services Newaygo Chapel (226 State Rd, Newaygo, MI 49337).
