Brent Shortsle Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on January 21, 2026, at the age of 57, Brent Shortsle of Newaygo, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Esther Thalia Shortsle (Duitsman) and Robert Shortsle; and his father-in-law James Dusendang. He is survived by: his wife Lisa Marie Dusendang; his daughter Tricia Leigh Haveman (Josh); his grandchildren, Noah, Jacob and Sarah Marie Shortsle; his great grandchildren, Sawyer, Kol, Millie and Wyatt; his siblings, Timothy Shortsle and Brenda Keeler (Todd); his mother-in-law Marcia Dusendang; his sister-in-law Jamie Schmuker (Jim); and his uncle Arn Shortsle (Beth). He is also survived by many nieces & nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, & friends.
