He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph N. Petty and Phyllis Petty (Kreischer); his sister Sharon; his brother-in-law Patrick Mooney; and his brother Anthony Vecchione.
He is survived by: his wife Lynda Petty (Larson); his daughters, Heather Petty-Weston of Denver, CO, Tisha Petty of Carbondale, IL and Jody Bolhuis (Ryan Lark) of Saugatuck, MI; his grandsons, Dorian, Odin Weston, Zachary and Jared Bolhuis; his great grandchild Jettson Bolhuis; and his pet Peanut. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
