He was predeceased by: his mother Donna Mercer (Sorensen) of Newaygo; and his wife Susan Mercer. He is survived by: his father Harold Mercer; his children, Justin Mercer and Lindsey Rodenberger (Mercer); his son-in-law Matthew Rodenberger; his granddaughters, Raegan Jay and Gabriella Rodenberger; and his brothers, Ron Mercer (Lynda), Brian Mercer and Jeff Mercer (Debra).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 5479 W 72nd St, Fremont, MI 49412. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 19th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In honor of Scott's memory, those wishing to contribute may donate to the Paul Mercer Memorial Scholarship Fund or provide support to his children, Justin and Lindsey, as they navigate the expenses and responsibilities of settling his affairs.
