He was predeceased by : his parents, William Steenland and Nelle Steenland (Van Dyke); his son David Steenland; his brother Robert Steenland; and his close friend Barb Stephens (Don).
He is survived by : his wife Carolyn Steenland; his children, Thomas Steenland (Sally), Cindy Sherman-Steenland, Caryn Steenland, Janelle Peasley (Brad) and William "Billy" Steenland; his daughter-in-law Wendy Steenland; his grandchildren, JD Steenland (Elizabeth), Tyler Steenland (Brittany), Trevor Steenland (Breana), Angela Allen (Anthony), Cody Steenland, Nicole Steenland, Lindsey Sloan (Nate), Greg Sherman, Jack Peasley, Brett Peasley and Blake Peasley; and his brother Tim Steenland (Sharon). He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Fields-McKinley Funeral and Cremation Services Newaygo Chapel (226 State St, Newaygo, MI 49337). A memorial service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
