He is survived by : his wife Karen Hutchinson; his children, Lyle Wheeler Jr. of Newberry, Tabbatha Quick of Gwinn and Clorissa Croncright of Kingsford; his grandsons, Arthur McDeathy, Kevin Concright and Ty Quick; his sister Rose Sheppard of Newberry; his nephew David Sheppard; and his mother-in-law Darlene Hutchinson of Newberry.
