It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Harley Welty of Newberry, Michigan, who passed away on March 11, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Harley and Reba Welty (Leazier); and his wife Rose Ann Berry. He is survived by : his children, Michael Welty (Angela) of Negaunee and Michelle Browning (Darren) of Garnet; his grandchildren, Michael Welty (Brandi) of Missouri, Kyle Welty (Faith) of Negaunee, Jacob Blakely of Tempe, Arizona and Makayla Blakely of Tempe, Arizona; his great grandchild Elayne Welty of Negaunee; and his sister Alice Williams (Jerry) of Tennessee.

Memorials may be directed to the Luce County Animal Shelter, PO Box 345, Newberry, Michigan 49868 in his loving memory.
