He was predeceased by: his brother Merle; his uncles, Pete Palmer, Tom Palmer, Bill Wehner and Ervin Ludy; his aunt MaryAnn Ludy; and his grandparents, Lennart Backman, Leonard Wehner, Mary Palmer and Gloria Tucker.
He is survived by: his parents, Richard Sr. Wehner (Suzanne) of Gwinn and Kathryn Wehner (Palmer) of Newberry; his grandparents, Thelma Backman (Kelley) of Newberry and Pete Tucker of Marquette; and his siblings, Rosemary Keinonen (Cork Bowler) of Newberry, Melanie Elvington (Kyle) of Weatherford, Ginger Richerson of Gwinn, Kori Wehner of Palmer and Kari Ellis of Negaunee. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
