He was predeceased by : his parents, Paul Nelson and Helen Nelson (Malmberg); his wife Norma Jean Nelson; and his daughters, Jessica Nelson and Julie Guilmette.

He is survived by : his children, Amanda Pohja (Robert) of Newberry, Rick Webb of Norristown, Kevin Webb of Newberry and Lester Webb of Newberry; and his brothers, Steve Nelson (Patty) of Manistee and Dennis Nelson of Newberry. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
