She was predeceased by: her parents, George Sype and Loretta Sype (Berns); her husband Leaford T. Evans; her siblings, Ross Sype, Velma Reed, Carl Sype, Loyd Sype, Betty Hoppert, Donna Woodbury-Stutsman, Leeta Sype, Virl Sype and William Sype; her granddaughter Stacy Bellmore-Byrne; her great grandchild Valenzyia Jean Wethington; her godson Craig Disney; and her daughter-in-law Janice Evans.

She is survived by: her children, Stephen Evans of Monroe, Scott Evans (Denise) of Monroe, Virginia Bellmore (Steven) of Monroe and Kent Evans of Monroe; and her grandchildren, Jason Evans (Bobbi), Chad Evans, Byrne Evans, Heather LaRoy (Barry), Travis Bellmore, Amy Guthrie (Jeff), Scott Jr. Evans (Tiffany), Salina Evans and James Evans.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Grace Lutheran Church.
