He was predeceased by: his parents, William Franklin and Eula May (Fowler); his wife Lela Louise Brown; his grandchildren, Melissa Barclay and Anthony Belich; and his brothers, James, Roy, Thomas "Steve" and Carl "Richard".
He is survived by: his children, Margie Milewski (Mike) of South Bend, Patsy Onderdonk of Arkansas, Charlotte Barclay (Roger) of South Bend, Brenda Pierce of Niles, Sandra Nolen (Brooks) of Arkansas, William Burns (Carol Zernick) of South Bend and David Mikel Burns of South Bend, Indiana. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and ten great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Kaniewski Funeral Home (3545 N Bendix Dr, South Bend, IN 46628). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial Contributions may be donated to the Alzheimer's and Dementia Services of Northern Indiana.
