It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Lee Schmeichel of Niles, Michigan, born in Benton Harbor, Michigan, who passed away on April 15, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Carl Schmeichel and Helen Schmeichel; and his great-nephew Justin Schmeichel. He is survived by : his brother Robert Schmeichel (Roberta Sue) of Berrien Springs; his nephews, Keith Schmeichel (Donna) of Niles and Adam Schmeichel (Revae) of Scottsdale, AZ; his great-niece Hannah Schmeichel; and his pet Fritz.
