Donald Gene Zelmer Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Gene Zelmer of Niles, Michigan, who passed away on December 2, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Emiel Zelmer and Marie Zelmer (Schmaltz); and his daughter Marlene Harkey. He is survived by: his wife Kay Zelmer; his son Bryon Zelmer (Kristy); his son-in-law Brian Harkey; his grandchildren, Kendra Hempton (Matthew), Lorraine Osborne, Joshua Osborne (Grace) and Gabriel Harkey (Kendall); his great grandchildren, Mateo, Emilia, Kolby and Kayce; and his brother Dick Zelmer (Jane).
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the Swem Chapel (301 W Front St, Buchanan, MI 49107). Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
