He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leo Smuda and Emily Smuda; his wife Joyce Smuda of Niles; his sons, Mark Smuda (Diane) of Buchanan and Jeff Smuda (Cathy) of Niles; and his grandchildren, Derek Hoskin, Haley Dey (Kevin), Katelyn Smuda, Rachel Smuda, Taylor Purucker (Kellie), Seth Purucker (Hannah) and Jared Purucker (Michaela). He was also cherished by five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
