He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Sobecki and Viola Sobecki (Linback); his mother-in-law Patricia Teske; and his sister Antoinette Beaman. He is survived by: his children, Brandon Van Kirk (Jennifer) of Granger, Stephanie De La (Miguel), Sarah Disch of South Bend and Joseph Van Kirk of Niles; his grandchildren, Kayla, Hannah, Taegan, Elena, Braiden, Brooklyn, Camden, Desiree, Madison, Savanah and Melanie; his father-in-law Thomas Teske of Niles; and his siblings, James Ballinger (Rose) of Ft. Worth, TX, Patricia Oppelt of South Bend, Jane Ballinger of Mishawaka and Viola Lary (Rick) of Niles. He is also survived by 9 nieces and nephews and 10 grand nieces and nephews.
