She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Baumgartner and Elaine Baumgartner. She is survived by: her daughter Olivia Melsa; her husband Peter Melsa; her siblings, Douglas Baumgartner (Cindy) of South Bend, IN, Connie Bruner (Dennis) of Fort Wayne, IN and Phillip Baumgartner (Sue) of South Bend, IN.; her father-in-law James Melsa of Naperville, IL; and her in-laws, Susan Jordan (John) of Mountainview, CA, Elizabeth Nilles (Ricky) of Holland, IA, Jon Melsa (Christine) of Plainfield, IL, Jennifer Nolan (Shawn) of Naperville, IL and Mark Melsa (Amanda) of Winfield, IL. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A rosary will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Kaniewski Funeral Home (3545 N Bendix Dr, South Bend, IN 46628). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mark Catholic Church (3 N 19th St, Niles, MI 49120).
