With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rachel Lyda Kohles in Niles, Michigan, born in Morganton, North Carolina, who passed away on February 21, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Brittain and Thelma Brittain (Tyner); her son Dr. Brian Kohles MD (Monica); her son-in-law Christopher Bikichky; and her siblings, Joann Forshee, Victor Brittain and Donald Brittain.
She is survived by: her husband Harry Kohles; her children, Kevin Kohles (Paula), Diana Casey and Beth Bikichky; her brother Howard Brittain (Jean); her grandchildren, Michael Kohles (Erin), Kayla Wicker (Michael), Nicholas Kohles, Daniel Kohles, Randall Kohles, Gabrielle Casey, Steven Casey and Jordan Bikichky; and her great grandchildren, Keira Kohles and Eli Kohles. She is also survived by her family, friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Rachel's honor and memory to the American Diabetes Foundation.
