He is survived by: his wife Donna; his sons, Dale Backus (Anita) and Chuck Atkins (Arlene); his grandchildren, Kate Smith (Jason), John Backus (Megan), Dan Backus (Avery), Blaine Backus and Andrew Marks (Scarlet); his great grandchildren, Sidney, Garick, Jensen and Traeten Smith; his grandchildren, Cayson, Bruce Backus, Nevaeh Backus and Stella Marks; and his sisters, Robyn Laughhunn (Don) and Candace Erber (Charles).
