He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hooten and Jane Hooten (Watt); and his brother Thomas "Mac" McCord Baird. He is survived by: his wife Connie Baird of Niles, MI; his children, Pamela K. Sebasty (Michael) of Buchanan, MI and William M. Baird (Marianna) of Niles, MI; his grandchildren, Laura Layne (Tony), Melissa Larson (Ben), Christina Ringle (Michael), Esmee Baird, Iona Baird, Clement Baird, Meline Baird, Greg Sebasty (Katie) and Alex Sebasty (Rebecca); and his sister Lisa Chakerian (Michael) of California. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
