It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Scott B. Smith of Niles, Michigan, who passed away on October 9, 2025, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As Scott departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Scott. Though Scott may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his father Max U. "Mike" Smith of Utah; and his sister Kristine "Kris" Smith. He is survived by: his mother Kaye Marguerite Smith (Livings) of Niles; his children, Louisianna Buckhanan (Joseph) of Niles, Amanda Wolfe (Joshua) of Niles and Emily Robinson (Cody) of South Bend; and his sisters, Cathie Smith of Niles and Michele Smith of Niles. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Portage Prairie United Methodist Church (2450 Orange Rd, Niles, MI 49120). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
