He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Taylor and Neva; his wife Beverly Van Sandt (Walter); his children, Patricia Grice (Robert), Veronica McCombs (Eric), Vernon Van Sandt (Kim) and Whitney Miller (Brian); his brothers, Rex Van Sandt and James Snyder; and his grandchildren, Valli, Robert, Rebecca, Ashley (Nick), Jessica, Susan, Kaleb and Austin.
A graveside service was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Bertrand Bible Church Cemetery East Bertrand (1008 Ontario Rd, Niles, MI 49120).
