He was predeceased by: his mother Esther Reed Sr. (Johnson); his former wife Betty Jane Travis; his wife Eunice Davis (Brown); his parent Claude Sr. Ree; his former wife Betty Reed (Travis); his sons, Johnny and James Reed; his stepdaughter Henretta Badgley (Scott); his son-in-law Albert Eckhardt; his grandson Tom Reed; his stepgranddaughter Melissa Knowles (Randy); his great grandchild Rachel Knowles; and his stepgrandson Harley Fry.
He is survived by: his children, Phillip Reed (Christina), Susan Monroe (Mike), Cindy Eckhardt and Nancy Fabian (Bob); his stepchildren, Gwen Fry (Gene) and Bo Davis; his daughter-in-law Connie Reed; his grandchildren, Jason Reed (Erika), Joel Reed (Lisa), Joshua Reed (Natalie), Troy Reed (Vickie), Terry Reed (Sue), Trent Reed (Haleigh), Eric Monroe (Dianne), Amy Fisher (Jason), Tanya Webb (Joel) and Josie Eckhardt; his stepgrandson Matthew Fry; his grandchildren-in-law, Randy Knowles and Maryanne Fry; and his stepgrandchildren, Jeff and Teresa Badgley. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
