It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Henry Nellenbach of North Branch, Michigan, who passed away on April 14, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Nellenbach and Helen Nellenbach (Horecki); his wife Ruth Ann; and his brothers, Jerry and Don.
He is survived by: his sister Sandy Chambers (Ken); his children, Melissa Doubek (Pete), Janel Caverly (Jeff), Thomas Nellenbach (Christine), Erica Aragones (Will) and Patrick Nellenbach (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Andrew Doubek, Alexander Doubek (Emily), Lindsey Callahan (Quentin), Nathan Caverly, Kate Nellenbach, Matthew Nellenbach, Casey Aragones, Lauren Aragones, Jesse Aragones, Benjamin Aragones, Jack Nellenbach and Caroline Nellenbach; and his great grandchild Clara Callahan.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home (4216 Huron St, North Branch, MI 48461). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's-Burnside Catholic Church (5622 Summers Rd, North Branch, MI 48461).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Leader Dogs for the Blind.
