It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Russell Howard Sundquist of North Branch, Michigan, who passed away on October 12, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Russell may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Sundquist and Erie Sundquist (Wasson); his daughters, Cheri Lynn Woodam, Marsha Kay Ochocki and Rhonda Marie Johnston; and his siblings, Maretta Seth, Ira Thompson and Alvin Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Vicki James, Gilbert Sundquist (Kim) and Carla Black (Terry). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Marsh Funeral Chapel (2675 Main St, Marlette, MI 48453). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
