With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shanon Sylvester of North Branch, Michigan, who passed away on May 27, 2026 at the age of 48. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her grandfathers, Clarence Freehling and Robert Boensch; her uncle Jeff Boensch; her cousin Derrick Lushnat; and her parents-in-law, Jim and Maragaret Sylvester.

She is survived by: her parents, David Freehling and Maureen Freehling (Boensch); her husband Charles Sylvester; her children, Ashlyn and Tyler; her grandmothers, Alice Freehling and Yvonne Boensch; her siblings, Ryan Freehling (Stephanie), Greg Freehling (Jessica) and Brad Freehling; her aunts and uncles, Chris Boensch (Debbie), Larry Biskner (Roxanne), Sherry Boensch, Sharon Boensch, Dan Augustine (Cindy) and Brian Freeling (Tracey); her brothers-in-law, Ronnie Sylvester (Jennifer) and Jerremy Sylvester (Jennifer); and her aunts and uncles, John Sylvester, Fred Kubik, Kamlin (Marsha) and Smith. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
