He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Beckert and Augusta Beckert (Frohenstedt); and his siblings-in-law, Rose McSlorley, John Doran and Plunkett Doran.
He is survived by: his wife Elizbeth "Betty" Beckert; his daughter Diane Beckert (David Borg); and his sisters-in-law, Theresa Gould, Eileen Clernon and Mary McKeon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
