With sadness, we share the passing of John Patel of Northville, Michigan. John, born on March 2, 1965, passed away on October 9, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dali Patel and Marion Miller Patel. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Joey (Hope), William and Jack; his siblings, Jaime (Ruth), Paul and Kavita (Nitin); his nephews, Michael and Daniel; his niece Sabrina; and his stepparent Lalita Kaul Patel.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the L. J. Griffin Funeral Home, Northrop-Sassaman Chapel (19091 Northville Road, Northville, MI 48168). The lying in state will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church (133 Orchard Dr, Northville, MI 48167). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in John's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge – New York City (https://www.cancer.org).
