He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo P. Black and Ida L. Black (Hardisty); his son Shaun Black; and his brother-in-law Lonnie McMullen. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Black; his daughters, Sonya Hoevener (Todd) and Shana Polo (Fabian); his grandchildren, Joseph Hoevener, Thomas Hoevener, Stephanie Roberts (Andrew) and Christopher Polo; his sister Patricia McMullen; and his sibling's children, Theresa Clark (Bill), Michael McMullen (Julie) and Martell McMullen. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
