He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Ganfield and Nola Ganfield (Cheely); his siblings, Jeffrey Ganfield and Nola Borg; and his brother-in-law Dan Borg.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ganfield; his daughter Elizabeth; his son-in-law Kevin Smith; his son Andrew Ganfield; his granddaughter Lexi Smith; and his sister-in-law Gretchen Ganfield. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
