He is survived by: his wife Tamara Nickell Wirrick; his sons, Barak McClain (Grace), Jeff McClain (Nancy) and Paul McClain (Sharon); his mother-in-law Vivian Netzler; his siblings, Victor McClain (Rebecca), Brent McClain (Ruth), Bruce McClain (Jackie), Weldon McClain, Crystal Wilson, Audrey Hendrickson (Hank), Sherril French (Glen) and Ester Luckett; his sisters-in-law, Shirley McClain, Judy McClain, Rose McClain and Michelle McClain; Brett Erickson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
