He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Dobberstein and Lila Dobberstein. He is survived by: his siblings, Rick Dobberstein, Kari Martin (David) and Julie Reid (Tim); and his nieces and nephews, Amber, Ashley, Ryan (Courtney), Amanda (Josh), Holly (Cameron), Andy (Anna) and Jenny (Zach). He is also survived by seven great-nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions in Ron's honor may be made to the Child Abuse Council of Muskegon.
