She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Ortquist and Beatrice Ortquist (Bushman); her brother Richard Ortquist (Cathleen); and her brother-in-law Charles Martin. She is survived by: her significant other Richard Lee Ward; her children, Mark Ward (Pam), Denise Thomas (Bob) and Steven Ward (Cheryl); her grandchildren, Corey Thomas (Nick), Courtney Thomas, Derek McDaniel (Jennifer Nelund), Trevor McDaniel (Shannon) and Gabrielle Ward (Trevor Baker); her great grandchild Matilda Nelund-McDaniel; her sister Jacqueline Martin; and her sister-in-law Anita Ward. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
