He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Payk and Anna Payk; and his siblings, Hedwig Osterloh, Erna Laubenstein, Eric Payk and Gunther Payk.

He is survived by: his wife Carole M. Engel; his daughters, Cheryl Ward of Jackson, TN., Corinne Grace (Eric) of Redondo Beach, CA and Colette Kehr of Madison Heights, MI; his grandchildren, Zachary Ward, Camille Grace, Emily Kehr, Mason Grace and Gavin Grace; and his siblings-in-law, Trudy Payk, Judy Payk Glesmer, Margaret Ortman (Robert) and George Osterloh. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces, great nephews and great nieces.
