He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Brooks and Evelene Brooks (Carrier); his children, Omer, Leon Brooks and Jenny LaPine; and his sister Ailene Jacques.
He is survived by: his daughter Sarah Crampton (James); and his grandchildren, Larry LaPine (Katie), Leon Brooks, Jr. (Sara) and Amanda Brooks. He is also survived by four great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
