He was predeceased by: his father Herman Powers; his stepfather Ralph Hemenway; his daughter Heidi Kipper; his siblings, Jeff, Bob, Sue and Sandy; and his nephew Johnny Jansen.
He is survived by: his children, Lacy Hemenway (Brandon Moeller), Ashley Terry (Gyles), Colon, Kathleen Staples (James), Candy Zierle (Brett) and Patty Conklin (Clay); his mother Donna Dick; his former wives, Kathleen M. Hemenway (Breece) and Vicki Akins (Bohm); and his sister Sandi Carr (Matt) of Knoxville, TN. He is also survived by many grandchildren, 1 great grandson.
