He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Barnhart (Waller) and Raymond Barnhart; and his brother Robert Barnhart. He is survived by: his wife Joan Barnhart (Gronow); his children, Richard Barnhart (Katherine), Douglas Barnhart (Karen), Michael Barnhart (Dana) and Susan Lyford (Donald); and his grandchildren, Joshua (Amy), Kalen (Jenny), Erin (Geovani), Lindsay, Ryan, Joseph (Kirsten), Taylor, Nicholas and Samuel.
The military honors will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442).
