She was predeceased by: her son Thomas; her husband James T. McDermott; her son-in-law Kevin Cook; her parents, Alfred Mashnouk and Mary Mashnouk; and her brother Alfred.
She is survived by: her children, John, Joan Cook, Bill, Mary Charter (Donny) and Paul; and her grandchildren, Sean (Joanna), Ryan, Erin Lozano (Daniel), Danielle Credit (Nick) and Megan Walling (Dustin). She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the O'Brien Sullivan Funeral Home (41555 Grand River Ave, Novi, MI 48375). A rosary will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Transfiguration Church (25225 Code Rd, Southfield, MI 48033).
