It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Smith of Novi, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on September 26, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Gail Marie Shepard; and his brother Richard. He is survived by: his brothers, Ontario and Thomas; his children, Cheryl Marie Wenglikowski (Clyde), Douglas Shepard Smith (Patti) and Gordon Gerald Smith (Amy); and his grandsons, Daniel, Evan and Austin. He is also survived by extended family including many cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks to send donations in Jerry's memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
