He was predeceased by: his parents, Palmer Heard and Cora Heard; and his brothers, William, Palmer Heard II and Stanley.

He is survived by: his daughters, Wanda, Angie (Phillip), Kim (Kyle) and Sherry; his wife Joyce; his grandchildren, Bianca, Andre Jr., Lauren, Kyle Jr., Phillip Jr., Kameron, Nyah and Kailee; his great grandchildren, Derek III, Nova and Amia; his brothers, Charles, Robert, Michael and Paul; and his extended family Juno. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
