With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Harry Matheney (Novi, Michigan), born in Detroit, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 24, 2025 at the age of 71. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Matheney and June Matheney; and his parents-in-law, Bob and Jeri Harding. He is survived by: his significant other Karen; his children, Jill Bazzy, Kendra Schimizzi (Joe), Lisa Meyers (Angelo) and Daniel Matheney (Nicole); his grandchildren, Anthony, Isabella, Alayna, Delilah, Mila, Joey, Letty, Andi, Isla, Teddy and Jane; and his siblings, Gerald Provencal, Jack Provencal, Diane Robinson and Jeff Matheney.
