The passing of Joan Marie FitzGerald of Novi, Michigan leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on December 8, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph P. FitzGerald, Sr. and Helen Grace FitzGerald (Hogan); her siblings, Joseph FitzGerald, Jr., William FitzGerald, Helen (Chuba), Ann (Ziegler) and Rosemary (Lewellen); and her husband Bob.

She is survived by: her sister Mary Boldt; her children, Margaret Backus (Chuck), Mary Jane Scott (Brian), Robert (Kimberly), William (Holly), Daniel (Laura) and Joseph (Nancy); her grandchildren, Jeffrey Backus (Julie), Melissa Beale (Keith), Shawn FitzGerald (Abbie), Robert Jr. FitzGerald (Jo), Patrick FitzGerald (Brianna), Michael FitzGerald (Klára), Brianna Masters (Jason) and Lauren Scott; and her great grandchildren, Chloe (Nethaneel), Jack, Caden, Lyra, Oscar, Deaglan, Caiomhe, Xena and Leo. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the O'Brien Sullivan Funeral Home (41555 Grand River Ave, Novi, MI 48375). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Church of the Holy Family (24505 Meadowbrook Rd, Novi, MI 48375).
