He was predeceased by: his former wife Caroline Schwantzer; and his children, Michelle Tate (Brian) of Colorado and Kenneth Pierce of Macomb. He is survived by: his wife Anne Marie; his grandchildren, Taylor Miller, Alysse Miller and Zachary Tate; his brother William Pierce; and his nieces and nephews, Debbie, Kurt, Nicole, Sherrie, Lori, Janine, Cindy and Karl.
