He is survived by: his wife Damyanti Prasad; his children, Ashwini Kumar (Rajan) and Smriti Singh (Pinki); his children-in-law, Roopam Sinha and Binod Singh; his grandchildren, Anvay, Avyan, Neal and Arnav; and his sister Janak Devi.
