Raymond A. Russell Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond A. Russell (Novi, Michigan), who passed away on October 3, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Raymond may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond A. Russell and Phyllis M. Russell (Chopp); and his wife Margaret. He is survived by: his children, Raylene (David), Michael (Holly), Patrice and Daniel; and his sister-in-law Sharon McKenna Skwiers. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, plus many beloved nieces, nephews and life-long friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church of the Holy Family (24505 Meadowbrook Rd, Novi, MI 48375). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442).
